The last couple days we fished for bass with mixed results. On Thursday we were off to Thatchers Island off cape ann. The scenery was great however only one bite in a couple of stops. Then at the charters request and against my better judgment we went to southern jefferies in search of bottom fish. [...]

The dog fish are in heavy. While there are haddock on the ledge the little sharks make it unpleasant fishing. Fishing along the shore for bass and mackerel are good ideas, but this time of year I like to be in the woods putting up tree stands and taking pictures of nature. I like wild [...]

Fishing continues to be a bear with all the sharks,(dogfish), around. Mackerel have moved close to shore to escape the bass and blues. Plenty of bass around.

Today was a 12 hour trip so we steamed out to Jefferies ledge. Fishing really sucked the big one so the next move around 11:00 am was back inside 10 miles off the beach where we found the large haddock and cod hungry. see pictures of Mark with his pool fish, a cod around 35 [...]

Last Thursday something came up that lasted a week and therefore no posts. There hasn’t been any fishing in a week either so no pictures of cod and haddock. It is my understanding that the dogfish are in pretty heavy. I have a trip tomorrow so I’ll let you all know for sure then.
